Roche obesity drug cuts weight by 15.5% in mid-stage trial

Roche says its experimental obesity treatment cut average body weight by 15.5% after 48 weeks at the highest dose in a mid-stage trial involving overweight or obese patients with type 2 diabetes. Analysts called the results competitive but said larger Phase 3 trials are needed.
