EPFL researchers develop wire-shaped motor for future robotic suits
EPFL researchers have developed a tiny wire-shaped motor that could help power flexible robotic suits and assist human movement. The millimetre-scale device works without conventional gears, potentially allowing wearable machines to remain lighter, more flexible and safer when users move against the motor’s direction.
