Swiss tuberculosis cases reach highest level in seven years

Switzerland recorded 544 tuberculosis infections in 2025, the highest number since 2018. The increase was concentrated among people born abroad and teenagers and young adults, prompting renewed questions about detection, prevention and access to care.
