SWISS and Edelweiss plan expanded summer flight schedules
SWISS plans to add seasonal Zurich–Toulouse flights and increase services on several European routes next summer. Edelweiss will also expand flights to Florida, Africa and other holiday destinations.

SWISS is adding routes and frequencies for summer 2027, with its sister airline Edelweiss also putting more flights into holiday markets. The changes bring a new seasonal link from Zurich to Toulouse and more departures on several European routes, while Edelweiss expands services to Florida, Africa and tropical destinations.
For travellers leaving Switzerland, the schedules offer more choice on established routes as well as a direct summer connection to the southern French city. SWISS will fly to Toulouse twice a week from June 25 to August 23. The airline is also increasing frequencies to Paris and Nice, and extending its Niš service across the full summer season.
Edelweiss is directing extra capacity towards leisure travel. Tampa will receive five weekly flights during a stretch from early July to early September, while more services are planned to destinations in Tanzania, Namibia and South Africa. The airline is also adding connections to Punta Cana, the Seychelles and the Maldives.
The expansion is not uniform across the network. Edelweiss will drop Las Vegas from next summer’s schedule, citing weak demand. SWISS, meanwhile, is keeping Bengaluru in its summer timetable and increasing service to Tokyo and Montreal.
Add More European Connections
The European additions combine a new Toulouse route with higher frequencies on popular connections. SWISS will operate two flights a week between Zurich and Toulouse for the peak summer period, from June 25 through August 23. The route adds a seasonal link to a major city in southern France.
Paris will rise from 28 to 30 weekly flights, while Nice increases from 32 to 34. SWISS is also adding flights to Hamburg, Budapest and Bremen. The airline did not give weekly totals for those routes in its announcement.
The Serbian city of Niš will remain on the schedule throughout the summer season, rather than operating for a shorter period. Its frequency will rise from two flights a week to three. That extension gives the route a longer seasonal run as well as an additional weekly departure.
SWISS chief executive Jens Fehlinger said the airline is expanding services “where we can create the greatest added value”. The route changes concentrate on European destinations while the airline also develops its long-haul schedule. For passengers travelling from Zurich, the clearest increases are on Paris and Nice, with Toulouse providing a new seasonal option.
Keep Zurich’s Long-Haul Links Growing
SWISS will serve 95 destinations from Zurich in its 2027 summer timetable, two more than in summer 2026. The network will include 69 European destinations and 26 intercontinental destinations, placing the new Toulouse flights within a wider schedule expansion.
Asia remains part of that plan. SWISS will keep Bengaluru in the summer timetable and expand services to Tokyo. The airline is also increasing flights to Montreal, adding capacity on a North American route alongside its Asian changes.
The figures describe the Zurich network; SWISS has also said it is expanding services from Geneva. Details of the Geneva changes are due to be announced in the coming days. That means the 95-destination total should not be read as the airline’s entire Swiss network. It is specifically the count of destinations served from Zurich.
For passengers, the schedule combines additional European options with continued service to intercontinental cities. The airline’s plans also show how the summer timetable is being adjusted across different parts of its network, rather than relying on a single new route. Its specific increases include Toulouse, Tokyo and Montreal, while Bengaluru remains in place.
