Swiss Companies Lead Climate Action with CO2 Reduction Pledge

• A total of 257 companies from Switzerland have signed up to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), committing to CO2 reduction targets compatible with the Paris Climate Agreement.
• The companies involved range from large, listed corporations like ABB, Givaudan, Holcim, Nestlé, and Novartis to smaller companies with fewer than 250 employees.
• The SBTi is an international organisation supported by business associations, environmental organisations, and the UN.
• Six Swiss companies have withdrawn from the initiative: Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), Ronal, Archroma, Ecom Agroindustrial, Sulzer, and MCH.
