Fribourg Launches Jean Tinguely Centenary Celebrations

Canton plans extensive cultural program including exhibitions, cycling race, and public festival to honor mechanical artist's 100th birthday

Jean Tinguely would have celebrated his 100th birthday on May 22, 2025.
A large folk festival is scheduled for June 15, 2025, in Fribourg.
The Tour de Romandie 2025 will feature a special stage honoring Tinguely.
The cycling stage will run from the Tinguely Museum in Basel to the Espace Jean Tinguely-Niki de Saint Phalle in Fribourg.
A specially built machine will lead a parade through the city of Fribourg.
