Switzerland's renewable energy milestone as Madrisa becomes first alpine solar installation to feed power to grid

Madrisa Solar is the first Swiss Alpine solar power plant to feed electricity into the grid under the Solarexpress programme.
The plant is located at approximately 2,000 metres above sea level above Klosters in canton Graubünden.
Currently, 15% of the planned plant is operational and feeding the grid.
Construction progress includes 500 solar panels anchored in the ground and 3,000 solar modules installed.
The project is owned equally (one-third each) by Repower, Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich (EKZ), and the municipality of Klosters.
